You have always wanted one of these, and now is your chance. This is out of the woodwork in Northern Michigan. It is a later silver example with almost all of its silver finish still there. The detail is very sharp with just a bit of deterioration on the bottom of the gear. The pin is a textbook example. Both the catch and pin being original and very solid. Overall this is a very attractive piece, priced right.

The frame and jump ring are 800 silver content marked. It has a little bit of light rust around the edges which adds to the original appearance. The ribbon is excellent looking. Overall, this is a really god looking medal, which will look perfect in your display, without spending cubic bucks

This is a super original example. It looks like the moths had a few lunches around the outside of this piece as most of the blue grey wool is gone. There is a little bit of damage @ the top, but still it is overall a nice display example.

It was bent or vaulted by the original owner, which was a common practice. The bottom catch was correctly repaired years ago, perhaps war time. I bought a small quantity of medals from the family of a WWII vet. It is a great honest EKI, but is missing the screw in-nut and the top catch has been removed. IF, you have the part to fix this, it will be a really nice cross.

The pin is maker marked 55 which is Nussbaum & Nussbaum Ltd, I think. In any event, it is a super 100% original, reasonably priced.

The Spange is an early one with nice finish and all the prongs. It has great patina, and nicely shows its age. The ribbon is the one which was with it since the beginning. If you want a real-real one, this is it.

These are harder to find than the medals. The paper packet is lightly faded, but overall solid. The maker's name has been cut out long ago perhaps so it could be re-sold retail by competing company. This is the perfect addition to your favorite EKII.

These are all mint and perfect. They came from a German dealer friend of mine. The version with swords would rate below an Iron Cross, while the one without swords is for non combatants. Both come with mint, full length ribbons.

OK OK, it's not a WWII German medal, but these were commonly worn by Germans WWI veterans of the Turkish campaign. It is a nice Turkish made example. Most of the paint is still there, and it has a solid pin and catch.

This is from a WWII Vet's cookie tin of souvenirs. It was bought in Detroit back in the 1980's by an antique picker. Zell am See is very close to Berchtesgaden, and where Easy Company of the 506th 101 Airborne did occupation duty during the summer of 1945, It is a nice original piece with no problems. I am not into fire badges, but I do not think it is priced too high.
