This is the 1st one of these I have had. It is a real 100% original piece. I got it from a long time friend who is a bit older the me and was always nice to me when I was a 14 year old kid going to the shows, which I will never forget. The knife is named to a marine (whose name is carved onto the scabbard) who served in both D & G companies of the 2nd Marines which were the famous Carlson's Raiders. The handle is very solid. These were made of a pot metal and very often show deterioration; this one does not. The blade shows honest age and use, but the USMC etchings are basically gone. The scabbard is the original one to the knife. It shows age, but is solid, and fits well. This is a great chance to buy a rare original example.

This is an attractive example if a rare fighting knife. The handle is very good. The blade shows honest use, but is also good. The original scabbard is solid, but the rivets and edging material are a bit rusty. The blade fits well into the scabbard making is a nice original example.
This was bought back in the 1950s out of a barred full of these @ Barry's Army Surplus in Detroit. When you think of the classic Army surplus store, Barry's was it! I visited it in the mid 1980s, and the GI WWII helmets were still stacked up over my head. Wow, what a place. This piece is in really nice bright condition. The rubber grip is also without issues.
This is a nice honest original example. The knife and scabbard have been together since day 1. The blade shows some hones use, but no abuse, and is nicely marked with the maker's name etc. The handle is good and sound. The scabbard is very good showing only light age and use. the inside is stained with rust from the blade. The instructions and sharpening stone were lost during the 2nd to last banzai charge. The Talon zipper works fine. Overall, it is a nice honest good looking example.
This is a very nice example with no issues or problems. It will display very well in your collection.
This is a good looking example. The blade has the factory edge, and is very good as is the handle. The scabbard is without issues. It fits well into the scabbard, and is an overall very good display piece.

I bought this from the son of a WWII US "TO" 90th div vet. The knife if a good honest piece showing some use and age but no abuse. The markings on the blade were professionally period removed. It is an early 1943 dated piece as the right side of the 3 is still visible. The handle is very solid, with a well marked pummel. I have seen this type of scabbard used before, and is in very nice condition. Overall, it is a nice looking piece priced right.
I bought this from the nephew of the WWII Vet in Roseville, Michigan. It is a really nice condition USN WWII MK 1 knife made by western. The blade is great with nice deep blued finish. The very nice scabbard has the vet's name with serial # and a nice period hula girl decal with palm trees. It is a great piece of WWII personal gear, and will look great with your other WWII GI stuff.
This is a really nice example of the Navy's mk.2 issued to our seaman on all fronts during WWII. The knife and scabbard are both in very nice used condition. The knife is well marked USN MK2 on one side of the crossguard and RCC on the other, RCC represents the Robeson Cutlery Co. of Rochester NY. Robeson is the rarest maker of this type knife. The scabbard is a hard gray plastic marked USN Mk2 on the front of the steel throat and NORD (for navy ordnance)-6581 B.M. Co. vp on the back. These are Reefe's fingers, not mine. Buy his knife, so he can afford a manicure.
This is a good solid example. The blade is very good with US & and maker marks. The scabbard is the rare variation of green canvas with khaki edging. Neither piece is dated, but both are very WWII era.
This is a real Jap sticker with a 10.75 Inch blade. It shows some honest age and use but is in overall great condition. The leather is solid without issues. The only thing missing is one end of the snap on the cross strap, otherwise it is great.
