No, I didn't make this up; it really existed. It was part of the Prussian State Police. The helmet was an M16 style, and used a decal or metal badge. The helmet is pictured in History Of The German Steel Helmet by L. Bear, p.249-251. These are super rare. It is made of aluminum, with wonderful gold wash. The prongs are there and sound. Further is has a nice RZM mark.
These are really tough to find when you need one. It is perfect with old tarnish and all the prongs.
This is something every German helmet collector should have. It is un-issued and mint. The decal is made of silver foil, and has a slight crease to one side. Overall it is a perfect example for your collection.
This is a very attractive helmet front plate that was worn on the leather helmet. The finish is very good with nice original black paint on the swaz. Each prong on the back has a double set of wires. One is missing a second prong, so 5 are still left, making it very usable for your helmet.
It looks like spaghetti, but in fact it is a pile of original German WWII helmet strings. They range from mint and perfect to used and dirty, to match your liner. I will do my best to make sure the condition matches your helmet. The pile of spaghetti has decreased to the "fat lady trying to loose weight" portion size. I am running out, so get yours now. Sorry, no wholesale on these. Please see the bottom of this page for German helmet liner info.
This is a hard to find large size liner. It is dated 1941, and completely original. The leather is a bit salty with 2 breaks @ the rim, but for the most part is is solid. The string is also original to the piece.
This is a mint example made of pieced together leather later in the war. The leather is very nice and still tan and sound, with only one very little tear. Everything is completely original.
This is a nice solid original liner that was re issued to Norway after the war. The leather has been stained a red/brown color, and the aluminum pins holding the leather to the band, have been replaced with brass ones. I sell replica aluminum pins that look just like the original ones. Check my replica helmet parts section. The leather is very sound and solid. I have seen the stain removed with Acetone, to an original tan color. Still it is a very useable original liner, which is better than nothing or a replica liner.
This is out of a poor condition DD Luft M35 with a 1938 dated liner. The paint is original Luft blue, and is about 60%+. The rivets are very early brass with the original spacers. These early original painted rivet sets are really hard to find.
This is a good original matched set of rivets taken from the same M40 liner dated 1941 helmet. They are unmarked, but stil have a good amount of original paint.
This is a good solid example. The leather has a bit of shine from being on a helmet visor for years. The material is very solid with only one very small snag @ one of the holes. Overall it is a good solid 1940 dated example.
This is a very solid example. The leather is very sold, but a tiny bit stretched from period use. It is about 1941ish production. The maker mark is very easy to see, but not a date. It is a very solid example for your helmet.
This is a really solid attractive 1940dated example. The leather is very nice, and will look great in your helmet
This is a good original strap with early aluminum hardware. It is a tiny bit stretched, and shows its age, but is still solid. It is dated 193 and I think the last number is an 8, but I am not sure.
These are really hard to find. It is overall solid with the exception of a break @ the small end by the buckle. This is the 1st one of these I have had for sale in a long time.
This is a good strap, but with one weak spot or cut about halfway through. It is full length and will work fine in your helmet.
This is a great strap. It is in wonderful condition with a really nice maker's stamp and 1941 date.
This one has never even been put on al helmet, as the ends have never been folded. It has a faint maker's stamp and an SS die stamp in the leather. The chinstrap is 100% original the SS stamp is ??? This could be a super rare strap.
This is a super nice full length chinstrap, is very solid condition. It is a typical late-war un marked example. It was marked with the Czech 1945 surplus stamp as most German surplus militaria was. Overall it is a very nice chinstrap.
