This is a a good original late war style skull with 2 prongs. These side edge prong cap skulls were easier and cheaper to manufacturer. A German militaria company, located in West Berlin, made fake visor caps using original parts back in the early 1960s. These skulls were available in quantity then and had very little value, so they were used on the replica caps. Over the years these skulls have been seen on these high quality caps, so collectors were naturally scared of them. Yes, I have bought them from woodwork sources, (twice). It looks good and is a good value.
